Pierre Dulat

 * Interview,Biography and pictures taken from http://pierredulat.com/

Born in the North of France in a village called Dorignies Douai, of Polish ancestry, from the age of 2, when he first began dancing, Pierre deeply felt that show business was in his blood, of course, at 2 you don't consider which direction to focus on, so fast forward many years, and encouraged by the system he headed off to study law.

"When I was studyng Law,I often hitchhiked to Paris to do dance auditions at the Lido, Paradis Latin ... then, after my Master's Degree, I moved there and met a choreographer, I joined his company, the Amadeo Dance Company.

Amadeo really taught me the techinques of dance,that led to a series of TV shows with The Weather Girls, the hit song was "It's Raining Men"!

How did you move from dance to modeling?

Brown Green, Armani by Aldo Fallai, editorial by Michel Comte

"My first job as a model was Borsalino with the photographer Douglas Keeve, who later directed the movie Unzziped with Linda Evangelista and Isaac Mizrahi. After that I did an Armani campaign with Aldo Fallai and almost overnight, it seemed, they called me an International Top Model, I was represented by the Elite International Agency, the world's largest modeling agency, this was fantastic! Through them I got to work all over the planet, US, Africa and all over Europe.

When I came to the United States, my first job was for Bloomingdales' in The New York Times, there I was, young, innocent, and in New York, The first day I was picked by a HUGE stretch limousine and traveled all over Manhattan for the job, It made a big impression ... I still can't forget it!

After that they placed me in ad campaigns for Armani, Cerruti, Gianfranco Ferre and for Estee Lauder with Elizabet Hurley"

Uomo Linea, Ted Lapidus, Gianfranco Ferre 86 by Herb Ritts

 I eye the 5 foot high stack of magazines he uses as a piece of sculptural art in the corner of the room.

He laughs: "My print work, it just kept growning!"

I glance at a few of them: Vogue, GQ, The New York Times, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Los Angeles Times, Linea Uomo .. I exhale deeply and tell him I'm Impressed by the volume and the quality.

He smiles: "I'm very proud of every job I've done".
