oh that's a good one! I didn't know Brett was in this campaign too.
thanks for sharing!
=)
Feel free to add it alongside the others! ;)
BTW, I know there were other ads from that campaign, and I'll see if I can find some more...
that's a great idea, thank you, I've already added it ;)
This campaign is from the GORGEOUS 197 pages catalog VERSACE 1998 SPRING SUMMER COLLECTION, totally photographed by BRUCE WEBER, styled by JOE MCKENNA.
This particular section (Versace Jeans Couture Presents Milla & Crew, 46 pages) also features models Teddy, Paul Sculfor, and a few others ...
thanks ;) I don't know who is Eddy.
This is Teddy:

Oh I see, thanks ;)
btw, have you read what Tom Bianchi said about Bruce Weber and Herb Ritts?

can't believe it, he just lost his mind.
Thanks for the link.
Even not being an admirer of Bianchi work, I agree with him when he says:
"Contrary to the way Ritts and Weber worked, I came to the subject of male beauty with real gay men — not the models Ritts paid — or the youths Weber admitted, in an act of stunning humbling self evaluation, to admiring because he could neither have or be them."
Regarding the issue of who influenced who, I think it's not fair to say that Bianchi "came across as a somewhat desperate wannabe to Ritts and Weber". Each photographer has their style, and none of them is a truly original. It's evident that Weber male nudes are largely inspired by George Platt Lynes and Herbert List, and Ritts's nudes by vintage Jim French bulky models.
That type of fight is not good... I applaud Bianchi response.
I also don't think he's a Ritts/Weber wannabe, I would be afraid if it were true. lol
About Ritts especifically, he was not a photographer for gays, he was an artist, who cares about the sexuality of his subjects?
Teddy Fornicola
It's raining Id's :))
thanks man, very appreciated ;)
