4th row down, right, reading the Henry Miller book...who is that? Anyone know?
I think he's the one called John Z, I don't remember him :-/ I would need to see the pictures bigger.
I don't understand why John Zuanich is included here because he is recent, if I'm not wrong the first editorial he did with Weber was for Paris Vogue November 2004 (main feature on Daria W and Lypsinca) and later for Vogue Hommes Fall/Winter 2005, followed by L'Uomo Vogue...
I didn't know him, thanks for the full name, it's strange that he's profiled as if he were of the same generation of the others. :|
John Rawlinson and Rick Edwards should have been there too :-/
No, it is Jay-Z (not John Z.). He is married to Beyonce. Any pictures of Run DMC? I hear Eminem did some shoots with Bruce in the late 90's, but gave it up for Rap. What a shame.
Hi DJ, what about you instead of John Z, weren't you invited? :-/
DJ? Who is that? I heard only those with their AARP card were invited anyway. I had a difficult time identifying who was who...kind of like a CSI episode. Seriously, great shoot Bruce (H. and W.). Keep up the good work. Doesn't Matt N. look like Kris Kristoferson with eyebrows? Last I heard DJ was not looking like he did when he was a model..kinda sad, he got into Snickers bars big time, just didn't know when to stop. I need a moment...talk amongst yourselves.
I would need to see an actual pic of DJ to see if there was really an abuse of Snickers bars :))
btw DJ, what do you think of Jeff Aquilon touching the chin of that boy? :D
His name is John Zuanich.. John Z. and he is in the story, because its called my "favorites", by Bruce Weber..
Johec, Jeff Aquillon is touching the chin of his son Oliver!
It was an awesome shoot! So many stories. Michael Ives gets the award for the funniest guy there. Deryl George most buffed! Best, Bruce Hulse
Post from Mr. H.! Way to go Johec! I will need to get the inside scoop about the shoot from Michael Ives, a fellow oarsman. Keep up the good work!
By the way, my agent in NYC, Chris Forberg of DNA loves your site. The shoot really was amazing! It was a models reunion of the best kind. I think all the guys looked freakin great and knew how to wear the clothes. Probably 300 years of modeling experience on set!!!!
@Pedro, really? =)) I have not seen full pics of the editorial so I didn't know it, coming from Bruce Weber I thought there was an homoerotic thing going on there. wrong!
I thought the same of Doug Meyer but I guess that's her son! btw, why is he credited Doug Myers instead of Meyer? :|
@ Bruce, thanks for sharing what happened there! hopefully there will be more eds like that in the future. nice to know about Chris Forberg liking the site!
@ Daryl, :))
Don't we want to include the ages of all the models at the shooting? Just a thought.
I'm glad they "knew how to wear the clothes", what a relief, wouldn't want the sweaters inside out or anything. What exactly is "modeling experience" ?, breathing and standing still? Oh yeah, maintaning your balance at all times. Seriously, great shoot.
Man! They were giving out awards at that shooting? I am so bummed I missed it. Maybe the next shoot in 25 years.
I am sure you have all seen Zoolander. Modeling is not easy. The pressure of looking so beautiful is unrelenting... Thats right, it takes years to perfect BLUE STEEL!!!
Not sure if Anonymous is trolling here but I don't think modeling is that easy, models have to have certain charisma to please the photographer, they are like actors in certain way.
there's a chapter in Sex, Love, and Fashion where Bruce tells about being photographed by Herb Ritts, breathing and standing still for a long time is tedious but rewarding if the product is a great picture.
The best pictures I have seen are of people that are all but unaware that they are being photographed. Fabrizio Gianni did this best. Most models from this time saw working as a kind of lucky break; looks + opportunity = travel + money. The myth that you can "learn" to be a model is really damaging to all those that do not have what is needed to be a succesful model.
Unidentified model in the facebook is Phil Kimbro, worked for Click and played a mean blues harmonica. From the south, I think.
Arthur Elgort also have that casual style to photographs his subjects ;)
which unidentified model in FB is Phil K? :-o
it's always different, monday= 2749
yesterday = 1690
this model is Phil?

Johec, Can we please get the comments that anonymous posts removed from this site as they are so annoying? A prime example of this is Anonymous, October 6, 2010 12:30 PM
I honestly don't like Anonymous comments 'cause I get confused, it's better to write a name please ;)
Gaby, that's an amazing commercial, thanks for posting, "new" to me ;) I wonder what year is it from? :-/
Where can I get a copy of this mag???
