Could anyone deny that Billy Gleason is one of the handsomest men that ever lived, does anyone know what happened with him? I read that he died in the 80's but I can't believe it and there's nothing about him online.

Billy is Super-Handsome! I have no info on him either, though.
The girl in the photos is Anette Stai.
I love Rico Puhlmann's work from this period!
Thanks for posting these!!

Thanks, also, for the magazine clip eulogizing Rico. I'd never read this before.
His death was so sudden and unexpected... such a loss!

I couldn't find anything about Billy, either. Yes, he was quite handsome! I always remember his one claim to fame (as if being absolutely gorgeous wasn't enough!)...he was the last non-celebrity to appear on the cover of GQ.

I guess he no longer holds that title.
Model Todd Riegler on the May 2002 issue took that place, 20 years later!

One of Pat's Brothers, do you think he was in his 40's in the 80's? or 30's? :-/

Anonymous, I forgot that 2002 cover :-o but you're right, a male model on the cover in 2002.

Wow, that was a cover worth finding on the web! You guys are WAY ahead of me in terms of GQ trivia...I bow before the masters! There's a book on modeling from 2004 with an article about Todd. Hope this link works:

Johec, my guess is that Billy was in his late twenties in the early 80's, perhaps very early thirties when he did the "Men About Town" spread in the March 1984 issue of New York magazine. Remember, the look for male models back then was not boyish but manly (don't get me started on my rant against androgyny!).
