he's now a photographer :

Fred Miranda is a native Brazilian. He was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. There he studied Architecture Design and Computer Science. He also had a successful career in Modeling and Body Building.

In 1991 he won the Brazilian Body Building Championship, and was told by a talent scout that he should try to launch a career in the U.S. After his arrival in Los Angeles he teamed up with 7-time Ms. Olympia, Cori Everson. She featured him in several exercise videos, and he also filmed episodes for ESPN.

Soon after, his professional modeling career took off. For several years, Fred spent his days traveling between New York, Los Angeles, and Milan.
He was represented by agencies like LA Models, Boss in New York, and Eye for Eye in Milan. Currently, he works with Next modeling agency in LA.

One day, Fred decided to pick up the camera and look through the other side of the lens. Thus, a photographer was born. He started with a Coolpix 990 and was on a mission to learn and discover all of the ins and outs of digital photography. Afterwards, he decided to only model part time. He enrolled at UCLA and mastered the art of computer graphics. Since then, he has pursued photography and graphic design full-time.

Today Fred exclusively shoots digital and often uses a Canon 1Ds and 1D mk III SLR digital cameras. He is a devoted husband of thirteen years and has 3 daughters. He is currently 35.
The camera and the website have now become the newest members of his family. If he's not out shooting, he's in the studio thinking up new digital imaging software, Photoshop plug-ins, tips and techniques.
