was it the first Bruce Weber campaign for Versace? or it was Spring/Summer 89?
No, this was not the first Weber campaign for Versace.
Weber also did Donna and Uomo Spring/Summer 89 campaign (with Linda Evangelista, Talisa Sotto and others) as you pointed out, but his first campaign goes back to Fall/Winter 1983-84, he shot the Uomo collection. Weber also did the Uomo Fall/Winter 1984-85, which part of it was printed as a L'Uomo Vogue supplement.
Many of the images from the above mentioned campaigns can be found at GIANNI VERSACE L'ABITO PER PENSARE book (Arnoldo Mondadori, 1989).
yes,I remember that SS 89 campaign, but I had no clue about Weber doing older campaigns! I don't think I've seen a single pic of those 83-85 campaigns.
