FACE HIT: Rick Edwards
Year: Spring/Summer 1982
Ph: Rico Puhlmann
In a little over a year, not only was Rick Edwards's modeling carrer launched from the pages of GQ, but his strong, angular countenance, smooth, shining complexion and brightly piercing eyes have - between appearances in ads and editorials - graced all but three of the last 16 issues.
He impressed photographer Bruce Weber with his oarsmanship and wound up demonstrating it in GQ's february 1981 issue, The rest, as they say, is history.

I thought he was an incredible model, he reminded me of a movie star from a by gone era - a bit of Robert Redford and much later Brad Pitt, he had true presence in front of the camera and his pictures clearly reflect that.
you're right, he looked like a movie star from head to toe, he's also a fave of mine.
