As a former model and actor, Michael Fragale has worked with some of the top photographers, models and agents in the industry over the last two decades. He studied theatre and photography at the University of Akron, before moving to NYC to study under Fred Kareman at Carnegie Hall. He was a member of the Barrow Group for three years and has performed in Off-Broadway plays, TV commercials, guest starred on television shows and in leading roles for independent films. As an actor, he was represented by the theatrical and commercial departments of Abrams Artists, J Michael Bloom, and CED (now known as CESD).
As a model he was represented by Ford Models, Boss Models, NY Models, Click, LA Models, Karin and Irene Marie and booked work with Versace, Joe Boxer, Abercrombie and Fitch, Crew, KMS and walked the runways of Milan, NYC and Paris fashion weeks.
Michael Fragale, since childhood, has always had “the eye” and an extreme passion for photography. It wasn’t long before many of the top, high fashion photographers in New York took notice of this gift, inviting him in as one of their own by making him an assistant. Over the course of 10 years, he was taught various techniques and tricks of the trade, which eventually led to the strong, unique, and undeniable presence he now carries behind the camera. After moving to Arizona, Fragale opened a studio in Tempe, AZ and within two years became established as one of the local market’s top fashion, event, and talent photographers.
His work has appeared in magazines and advertisements, such as Arizona Weddings, Arizona Bride, Tennis Living, Java, and has created ads for Sofia and Beach Bunny Swimwear. Since then, he has hand-picked and developed an equally astounding team to assist him, which includes some of the top make-up artists, stylists, and assistants Arizona has to offer. This fiercely loyal crew has proven its necessity by helping Fragale produce the striking, creative, and flawless images for which he is known.
Fragale is now recognized as one of the top photographers in the country, with an extensive and diverse background that includes weddings and engagement, editorial fashion photography, business advertising, and family. He places great emphasis on constantly bettering himself by mastering the newest concepts presented to the industry, as well as realizes the importance of staying on the cutting edge of technology by updating his repertoire of equipment continuously, and in doing so, ensuring the very finest of images. Fragale’s keen eye and knowledge both in front of and behind the camera has made him the exclusive choice for every occasion.
